GO GOA GONE’ Movie Review- Tanmay Dubey

Starring :- Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Vir Das, Anand Tiwari, Puja Gupta

Director:- Raj Nidimoru, Krishna DK

Three friends shoved by their respective situations in life;  GO on a trip of fun, drink & smoke to  the beaches of GOA; they are looking for joints, girls in a rave party organized by Russian mafia. Little do they know that it’s not the cannabis which will make them GONE; but the dumb head Zombies! Aaaaah!. So are they scary? No, remember this is a ZOMCOM a zombie comedy !

Saif Ali Khan and his illuminati films brings a new genre of ZOMCOM in Bollywood.(Read: which is quite popular in big brother Hollywood’s films.) We had bhoots, chudails, but we see a zombie film for the first time. And it is actually quite hilarious. The film comes straight to the point like an arrow on the zombie head to the main plot from the beginning and waste no time in subplots. The dialogues are fandu! as spoken in daily life lingo of youngsters  (Read: No Dramatic dialogues). The music by Sachin-Jigar is electric in babaji ki booti, slowly slowly, & khooni Monday with all the songs hitting the top of the music charts.

Saif’s performance is cool and so is Kunal Khemu and Vir Das’s acts. Pooja Gupta with her limited skills and average looks have nothing much to do. ( thank God she is not used only to sceam!)

Zombie’s don’t look real and are funny (may be they were meant to!) the film do survives on clichés like Hero firing gun in last min, friend saving friend, loyal man turning bad by getting infested.

The film is like a masla chuski in this summer with a message that smoking is bad, drugs are bad, drinking is bad and so is all other shit in life !

Score Stack Up:-

+ ive:-  Nice concept, blunt dialogues , good music and funny sequences.
