Krrish 3’- Movie Review- Tanmay Dubey

Starring: - Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi, Kangna Ranaut

Director:- Rakesh Roshan

Rakesh Roshan is a master story teller; he has proved it repeatedly for over two decades in Indian Film Industry. Be it a Revenge drama (Khoon Bhari Maang) or a Rebirth Story (Karan Arjun), or India’s First Alien film (Koi Mil Gaya) or the latest desi Super Hero Series (Krrish) Roshan Saab has delivered each content with packed conviction and stirring the hearts of millions of people.

Krrish 3 begins from where Krrish ends. Rohit Mehra (Hrithik of KMG), Krishna (Hrithik of Krrish) and Priya Mehra (Priyanka Chopra) are living their ‘9 to 6’ life. Krishna when he is not busy saving the world (an aero plane crashing, a child falling) is struggling to save his job (as a waiter, as a security guard or whatever! , Ooph these super heros are so good hearted people! )

In a faraway land Kaal (Vivek Oberoi, in his best performance after ‘D Company’) is busy creating Maanwar (half humans and half animals!) His evil intentions of destroying the world (I will not divulge any more detail) can only be stopped by Krrish but not before a series of misfortunes hit Krrish’s life (an epidemic, a personal attack) and what then follows is a riveting exhibition of VFX (grossly engaging and superbly done! by far the best by Indian Standards) and gigantic clash between the evil who is as strong and as big as the superhero. In the fight, the super hero falls only to rise as more stronger and bigger to kill the Evil.

The makers of ‘Krrish 3’ strongly follow the guideline and rule book of ‘how to direct a superhero film’. The film has got all, a preaching hero, a world saving hero, a merchandising hero, (Yes you can draw similarities from SpiderMans, X-Men, Wolverines of this world) but nothing wrong in that! Common fellas Super Hero is a west invented Idea. Don’t we adhere to so many processes and I dare say copy west in innumerable things!

Another good part of Krrish is its taut story line and fast paced screenplay, which despite being little complex keeps you engaged and there is never a dull moment in the film ( except ishwar allah song,) Kya kare whatever we may say about a ‘hollywood concept’ a bollywood film has to have its share of song and dance!

Hrithik excels in performance (both as Rohit and Krrish) don’t miss his six or eight packs; I forgot the count in awe when I saw them on screen! Kangana Chameleons her way in the film. Priyanka too gets chance to play diff shades in her character. Music however which was always a strong point of Filmkraft's production is average, except Raghupati Raghav which is good but do not lit up the dance floor as it was supposed to be.

All in all a super patakha for this Diwali! Don't forget to tag your kids along............
